A creative and dedicated innovator, I’m here to make your life easier. Utilising both technical and strategic skills, I’m passionate about supporting you to work more effectively with people, with a focus on human rights and accessibility.
I’ve worked in the community sector for nearly 30 years, with time also spent in government. While my expertise is in disability, I have helped organisations to successfully meet accreditation in mental health, aged care and community standards.
My focus is on communication that is effective and accessible for everyone. Knowing that nearly half of Australian adults struggle to read above a Year 5 level, my mission is to increase the accessibility of as many documents as possible! I have experience developing and writing:
- Successful grant applications and funding reports
- Plain English policies and procedures
- Easy read documents for people with disabilities
- How to documents / technical writing
- Training modules for staff and clients, for face to face presentation, or online
- Promotional material including newsletters, social media and so on

My dedication and rights-based focus was recognised in 2015 when I was awarded the ACT Chief Minister’s Award for Inclusion:
Lifetime achievement of Making a significant and stunning contribution to growth in policy and practice in protecting and promoting human rights for people with a disability over 22 years
I was MC of the panel at the 2018 WWDACT AGM – Reflections on the Mirrorball, discussing sexuality, relationships and respect with women with disabilities. A recently re-elected Director on the WWDACT board of governance, I also have lived experience of disability.
